Junior Back-End Developer

We are currently hiring a Junior Back-End Developer to join our growing team in Faro, Portugal. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side components of our web and mobile applications. This is an entry-level position, perfect for recent graduates or those looking to start their career in back-end development.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with front-end developers to design and implement server-side logic

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code

- Troubleshoot and fix bugs in existing codebase

- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members

- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)

- Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

- Knowledge of at least one back-end programming language (Python, Java, PHP)

- Familiarity with database management systems (MySQL, MongoDB)

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

- Willingness to learn new technologies and take on new challenges

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with web frameworks like Django or Flask

- Previous internship or work experience in back-end development

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

We offer

This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $1300 per month. Our company also provides accommodation for employees who relocate to Faro for the job. We will also cover the cost of your visa and travel expenses. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced developers and gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.
