We would like to meet a COBOL Developer!

Responsibilities:

- Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and develop and maintain legacy COBOL code.

- Work closely with Business Analysts to transform functional requirements into robust technical solutions.

- Use AI-assisted tools to understand, analyze, refactor, and safely modify existing COBOL modules while preserving business logic.

- Map functional specifications to the existing codebase and identify all impacted components.

- Develop and maintain unit and integration test suites and support acceptance-test planning and execution.

- Support the adoption of modern technologies and tooling, including AI-driven data validation, CI/CD pipelines, and advanced monitoring.

- Document changes, manage version control, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.

- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the successful delivery of releases.

Requirements:

- 4+ years of relevant professional experience.

- Strong expertise in Micro Focus COBOL.

- Familiarity with PowerHouse (4GL) and/or Eloquence (Marxmeier) is a plus.

- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools, such as Ansible and ToolChain, is a plus.

- Experience with Git and version control is a plus.

- Previous experience in the financial sector is a plus.

- Experience working in Agile environments.

- Good understanding of unit and integration testing.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work closely with Business Analysts and technical teams.

- English – Expert, with strong written and spoken communication skills.

- Portuguese – Expert.
