DevOps / Platform Engineer – AWS & Kafka

Requirements

- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or Data Engineering environments.

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, particularly EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM and CloudWatch.

- Good programming/scripting skills in Python and/or Bash/Zsh, particularly for automation and infrastructure tooling.

- Experience developing automation scripts involving REST APIs, CLI tools, file processing and data transformation.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, using GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar tools.

- Strong knowledge of Git, including branching workflows, merge requests and CI/CD integration.

- Basic knowledge or practical experience with Apache Kafka or event-streaming platforms, including topics, producers and consumers.

- Experience supporting and troubleshooting cloud/platform environments.

- Good understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation.

- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with both Development and Operations teams.

Nice to have:

- Experience with Confluent Cloud and/or Confluent CLI.

- Experience with Terraform.

- Knowledge of AWS Lambda and ECS/Fargate.

- Experience with Kubernetes.

- Knowledge of relational/non-relational databases and SQL.

- Experience working with JSON/XML data structures.

- Exposure to Snowflake or modern data platforms.

- Previous experience in a Platform Engineering or Operational Support team.

- AWS certification.
