Lead Full-Stack & Quant Systems Engineer

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Lead Full-Stack & Quant Systems Engineer to help build the technology infrastructure behind a growing investment and technology business.

This role combines full-stack development, quantitative trading systems, AI integration, and technical ownership. You’ll work directly with the founder to turn ambitious ideas into reliable, production-ready software — from a polished public-facing website to an automated trading system and a central management platform.

The ideal candidate enjoys both high-level architecture and hands-on implementation, with an eye for visual detail and a strong understanding of backend systems, infrastructure, security, and real-time data.

What You’ll Do

- Refine the website’s design, functionality, responsiveness, and performance across desktop and mobile.

- Set up and integrate a quantitative trading system, connecting trading logic, market data, exchange APIs, and execution services.

- Build a central management application for monitoring:

- Trading positions

- Balances

- Performance

- System health

- Operational activity

- Implement essential trading controls such as exposure limits, alerts, audit logs, and emergency stop functionality.

- Integrate AI models and agents where they can provide practical value in analysis, automation, and internal workflows.

- Develop secure backend services, databases, authentication, and role-based access.

- Manage deployment, testing, monitoring, and ongoing technical improvements.

- Work directly with the founder to translate business and technical ideas into clear priorities and working software.

- Document your work and build maintainable systems that can evolve with the business.

What We’re Looking For

- Demonstrated experience building and shipping full-stack websites or applications.

- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and Python skills.

- Experience with modern frontend frameworks and backend APIs.

- Strong understanding of databases, third-party integrations, real-time data, and asynchronous systems.

- Experience deploying and maintaining applications on Linux servers.

- Comfortable working with Git and container-based development/deployment workflows.

- Strong understanding of security when handling credentials, permissions, financial data, and sensitive operations.

- Excellent attention to detail and an eye for visual quality.

- Strong independent problem-solving and technical judgment.

- Clear communication and the ability to make sensible decisions around scope, reliability, and delivery.

Especially Valuable Experience

The following would be strong advantages:

- Experience with exchange APIs, automated trading, or financial platforms.

- Understanding of backtesting, paper trading, transaction costs, slippage, and execution reliability.

- Experience integrating LLMs, AI agents, or locally hosted AI models.

- Experience building interactive dashboards.

- Experience with advanced web animation or 3D web experiences.
