Critical FlyTech is a new organisation created by Airbus and Critical Software to deliver the next generation of safety-critical software across aviation, defence, and space.
As our engineering and business operations continue to grow, we are looking for an IT Engineer to manage and evolve the infrastructure, systems, and enterprise platforms that support our teams. This role combines IT operations, systems administration, networking, enterprise application management, and DevOps platform ownership to ensure our organisation operates securely, efficiently, and reliably.
Job requirements
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, platform engineering, or technical operations.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux environments, enterprise networking, infrastructure security, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and endpoint management through Intune.
- Experience with Git, Atlassian tools, CI/CD pipelines and software delivery platform administration.
- Familiarity with virtualisation and containerisation technologies, as well as experience working within ITSM processes, incident management, and formal change control. Experience in regulated environments (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001) is valued.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a continuous improvement mindset and fluency in Portuguese and English.
Job responsibilities
- Administer and maintain corporate IT infrastructure, including servers, endpoints, cloud services, networks, user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Design, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot secure and reliable network infrastructure, connectivity services and platform health.
- Own and support engineering productivity and collaboration platforms, including Git, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and associated integrations.
- Maintain, monitor, and improve CI/CD platforms, software delivery workflows, and automation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide technical support to employees, providing timely and effective IT assistance.
- Develop technical documentation, standards, and roadmaps, collaborating with engineering, quality, security, and Airbus stakeholders to ensure platforms meet business and project needs.
