Senior webMethods Integration Architect

We would like to meet a Senior webMethods Integration Architect for a project in Lisbon (hybrid, 2 days per week onsite)

Responsibilities:

- Define and advise on solution architecture and integration patterns aligned with business and technical requirements.

- Act as the design authority for integration solutions, ensuring architectural consistency and adherence to technical standards.

- Provide Level 4 technical support and expertise across delivery teams.

- Define, establish and promote integration best practices, standards and technical guidelines.

- Support the design, implementation and maintenance of integration solutions based on Software AG/webMethods technologies.

- Conduct research and development activities to evaluate emerging technologies and support technological innovation.

- Define and maintain the software and technology roadmap in alignment with project objectives and milestones.

- Collaborate with internal teams, external providers and software vendors, managing technical relationships where required.

- Ensure integration solutions comply with security protocols, architectural standards and security guidelines.

- Produce and maintain technical documentation covering architecture, integration patterns, standards and solution designs.

- Provide technical recommendations and support during project delivery and implementation phases.

- Willingness to travel/relocate temporarily when required.

- Contribute to technical assessments, solution validation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field.

- 6+ years of experience working with Software AG/webMethods solutions.

- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in platform configuration, administration and maintenance.

- Strong experience with Software AG/webMethods v10, particularly Integration Server, API Gateway and Universal Messaging.

- Strong understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and integration patterns.

- Proficiency in REST and SOAP web services and protocols.

- Experience working with Docker, OpenShift, AWS and Azure environments.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Strong experience working in Linux environments, including scripting.

- Knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.

- Strong understanding of integration architecture, technical standards and security principles.

- Fluent in English (mandatory).
