We are looking for a

Senior Java Backend Developer

to join an international banking environment, working on the

development and evolution of Java-based applications and distributed systems . The role involves developing robust backend solutions, contributing to architectural decisions and driving the evolution of scalable and resilient systems.

Professional Experience & Main Tasks

Develop and maintain

backend applications

using Java.

Design and implement robust, scalable and resilient solutions using

Java, Spring and Struts .

Develop and evolve

microservices-based architectures

and distributed systems.

Work with

Kafka

and event-driven architectures.

Contribute to

technical and architectural decisions , ensuring the quality and scalability of solutions.

Analyse existing systems and identify opportunities for

technical improvements and optimisation .

Lead the development and implementation of complex backend functionalities.

Collaborate with technical teams to define solutions and ensure alignment with the overall

application architecture .

Support the continuous evolution, modernisation and improvement of existing applications.

Troubleshoot complex technical issues and contribute to ensuring

performance, scalability and reliability .

Share knowledge and provide technical guidance to other developers when required.

Degree in

Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology

or a related field.

5+ years of professional experience

in Java backend development.

Strong experience with

Java, Spring and Struts .

Strong knowledge of

Kafka

and distributed systems.

Strong experience with

microservices architectures .

Good understanding of

scalable, resilient and high-availability architectures .

Experience with

software architecture and technical design .

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions.

Previous experience in

banking or financial services

is a plus.
