Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team and work on modern AWS data platforms, Lakehouse architectures, data pipelines, and scalable ELT solutions.

Work Model: Fully Remote

What You’ll Work With

- Support and develop data ingestion and transformation frameworks

- Design, maintain, and optimise Iceberg tables

- Manage compaction and retention processes

- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines

- Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline and data processing issues

- Support domain teams in implementing scalable ELT and orchestration standards

- Contribute to performance tuning and optimisation

- Ensure data solutions are reliable, scalable, and production-ready

- Support release management and SDLC deliverables

- Contribute to data engineering best practices and platform standards

Fully Remote | Portugal

Requirements

- Professional experience as a Data Engineer

- Strong experience with AWS

- Experience with Lakehouse architectures

- Hands‑on experience with Apache Iceberg

- Strong knowledge of ETL / ELT and data processing

- Experience with data pipeline orchestration

- Experience with performance tuning and optimisation

- Good understanding of data engineering best practices

- Experience working with production data pipelines and troubleshooting

- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

- Experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Lake Formation, DataZone, MWAA, or Step Functions is a plus.
