Java Software Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a

Senior Java Backend Engineer

with strong experience in designing and developing cloud-native, scalable applications.

The role focuses on

backend development with Java , working within an international and collaborative engineering environment.

Requirements

6+ years of experience with

Java , including versions

17 and 21 .

Strong experience with

Spring Boot

Strong knowledge of

Microservices, SOA, REST APIs , and

GraphQL Federation .

Experience with

Angular

in a backend/integration context.

Experience with

unit testing, integration testing , and

TDD .

Knowledge of

MongoDB

and

MySQL .

Experience with

JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Nexus , or similar tools.

Familiarity with

Agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD, BDD/TDD , and

Pair Programming .

Strong understanding of software design patterns and best practices.

Nice to Have

Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms.

Knowledge of API security standards ( OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect ).

Experience in enterprise-scale or cloud transformation projects.

Work Model

Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office (Porto).
