Data Engineer Location: Lisbon, PortugalWork Model: HybridSalary: €18,000 – €25,000 gross annual salaryAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in transforming complex data into meaningful insights that support business decision-making.The ideal candidate will have strong experience across Business Intelligence, data analysis and visualization, with a solid technical background in SQL, Microsoft BI technologies and Power BI. This is a role for someone who combines technical expertise with a strong understanding of business needs and enjoys working in a dynamic, collaborative environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and maintain Business Intelligence and data analytics solutions.Develop and optimize complex ETL processes, ensuring scalability, reliability and performance.Define and monitor SLAs and performance indicators for data processes.Work extensively with SQL databases and Microsoft BI technologies, including SSIS, SSAS and SSRS.Develop insightful and user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards.Work with large and complex datasets across different database, data warehouse and Big Data technologies.Collaborate closely with end users and business stakeholders to understand requirements and solve technical challenges.Ensure the application of Software Engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle.Contribute to database administration best practices, data quality and overall system performance.Identify opportunities to improve data processes, reporting capabilities and business intelligence solutions.What We're Looking ForDegree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.3+ years of professional experience in Business Intelligence and/or Data Analysis & Visualization.Strong and proven experience with:SQL DatabasesMicrosoft Integration Services (SSIS)Microsoft Analysis Services (SSAS)Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS)Power BISolid experience designing and developing complex ETL processes, including SLA definition and performance monitoring.Experience working with large datasets and familiarity with different database, data warehouse and Big Data technologies.Strong understanding of Software Engineering principles and best practices.Good knowledge of Database Administration best practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with end users and technical stakeholders.What We OfferHybrid working model, combining flexibility with team collaboration.Competitive salary package of €18,000 – €25,000 gross annually, depending on experience and expertise.Opportunity to work on challenging data and Business Intelligence projects.A collaborative environment where autonomy, technical expertise and continuous improvement are valued.Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.Why Join Us?If you are passionate about data, technology and turning information into business value, this is an opportunity to take on a senior role where your technical expertise can have a direct impact.Join us and help turn data into better decisions.
