Lead Full Stack Engineer (Java + React)

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Full Stack Engineer with strong experience in Java and React to contribute to the development of secure, scalable, and high-performance digital products.

This hybrid role is based in Lisbon and combines hands-on development across backend and frontend components with identity integration, architectural collaboration, mentoring, and the definition of engineering standards within a multidisciplinary squad.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement full-stack features across Java backend services and React.js frontend components.

- Integrate Okta SSO and OIDC flows across distributed applications, configuring scopes and claims according to regional and business requirements.

- Build and maintain RESTful APIs with complete OpenAPI documentation.

- Implement event-driven patterns using AWS SQS and Solace.

- Manage frontend dependencies through npm and promote secure token-handling practices.

- Maintain high engineering standards through SonarQube, Snyk, and structured code review processes.

- Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge transfer within the squad.

- Participate in architectural discussions and help define platform engineering standards.

- Collaborate closely with technical and product stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

- 5+ years of professional software development experience.

- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.

- Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.

- Solid expertise in React.js.

- Knowledge of token storage best practices and silent renewal flows.

- Hands-on experience integrating Okta SSO, OpenID Connect, and OAuth 2.0 across distributed systems.

- Familiarity with OpenAPI for API documentation.

- Experience with event-driven architectures, particularly AWS SQS and Solace.

- Proficiency with npm and frontend dependency management.
