Senior Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer

Are you a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer with deep Microsoft Azure expertise, passionate about designing scalable cloud platforms, automating infrastructure, and driving engineering best practices?

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer to join an international technology environment and play a key role in the design, evolution, and optimization of complex cloud infrastructure.

We are looking for someone with extensive hands-on Azure experience who can go beyond day-to-day operations — someone capable of making architectural decisions, solving complex cloud challenges, defining best practices, and acting as a technical reference for the wider team.

You’ll have the opportunity to bring your expertise to the team, share knowledge, and mentor and guide other engineers on Azure whenever needed.

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Design, implement, maintain, and continuously improve large-scale Microsoft Azure cloud environments.

- Act as a technical reference for Azure, helping the team make sound architectural and engineering decisions.

- Share Azure knowledge and best practices, providing technical guidance and mentoring to other team members.

- Participate in strategic infrastructure initiatives, including new cloud projects, migrations, modernization initiatives, and Proofs of Concept (PoCs).

- Contribute to cloud architecture, technical design, solution definition, and effort estimation.

- Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Azure ARM Templates.

- Define and promote standards around cloud automation, scalability, reliability, security, and operational excellence.

- Monitor and continuously improve infrastructure performance, availability, resilience, and scalability.

- Identify opportunities to optimize Azure cloud costs and resource utilization.

- Manage and support non-production environments, ensuring platform stability and consistency.

- Perform cloud security reviews, identify infrastructure vulnerabilities, and drive remediation activities.

- Support Incident, Change, and Request Management processes.

- Produce and maintain high-quality technical and architectural documentation.

- Work closely with development, infrastructure, security, and operational teams to ensure successful solution delivery.

- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

Must-Have Skills:

- 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.

- Extensive and advanced hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure — this is a critical requirement.

- Strong understanding of Azure architecture, services, networking, security, governance, scalability, and cloud-native best practices.

- Proven ability to design and improve Azure solutions, rather than simply operate existing environments.

- Experience acting as a Senior Engineer, Technical Advisor, or subject-matter expert, with the ability to guide and support other engineers.

- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform and Azure ARM Templates.

- Solid experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.

- Strong understanding of Cloud Security, infrastructure hardening, identity/access principles, and vulnerability management.

- Experience with Git and modern infrastructure development workflows.

- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across complex cloud environments.

- Fluent English and confidence working with international and distributed teams.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have:

- Experience with Microservices Architecture.

- Familiarity with OpenPaaS or similar platform environments.

- Experience in Insurance, Risk Management, Financial Services, or other highly regulated environments.

- Previous experience working with large-scale enterprise Azure platforms.

- Experience mentoring engineers or helping teams establish Azure and DevOps best practices.
