Job Description:

We're looking for a Data Engineer to join a technical team on a data project in a Microsoft Azure environment, for an energy sector client. Fully remote. You'll help build pipelines and shape data models, working closely with both business and technical teams.

Must-Have:

- 2 to 5 years of experience in Data Engineering

- Solid knowledge of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, with a focus on Azure Databricks

- Strong grasp of Azure Data Lake Storage, plus Parquet and Delta Lake formats

- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark notebooks)

- Knowledge of Data Lakehouse-oriented data modeling

- Experience across the full data solution lifecycle,ingestion, transformation, modeling and delivery

- Ability to design scalable, performance-oriented architectures

- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum)

Would be great if you have:

- Knowledge of Scala to PySpark migration

- Knowledge of Azure Synapse

- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
