We are looking for a Java Developer!

Location: Lisbon | Porto

Level of Experience: Mid (3 to 6 years)

Salary Package & Benefits: €1,200 to €2,000 (salary base) + Food Allowance + Flex Benefits

Main Tasks:

- Design, develop, and maintain Java‑based backend services and components for the Orion platform

- Contribute to the delivery of core and transversal features, as well as entity‑specific requirements

- Ensure high code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to development standards

- Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to translate functional requirements into technical solutions

- Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)

- Proactively identify technical improvements to enhance performance, security, and maintainability

- Support deployment activities and contribute to production stability when required

Technical skills:

- Strong experience in Java (8+) and Spring / Spring Boot

- Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs and backend service design

- Experience with relational databases (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL)

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (Git)

- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments

- Good understanding of non‑functional requirements: performance, security, scalability

Nice to Have

- Experience in banking or financial services, ideally in Front Office or risk‑related systems

- Exposure to microservices architectures

- Familiarity with cloud or container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

- Knowledge of messaging systems or event‑driven architectures
