What You’ll Do

You will be responsible for the operational management and performance of mission-critical database systems running on AWS and on-premises environments. You will ensure high availability, performance, security, and disaster recovery of large-scale production databases supporting financial market infrastructure with zero tolerance for downtime. Your main focus will be Amazon Redshift, including cluster monitoring, workload management (WLM), performance tuning, and optimization of large-scale datasets using VACUUM and ANALYZE processes. You will diagnose and resolve performance issues using system views, monitoring tools, and AWS CloudWatch, ensuring continuous stability of production environments.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator in production environments

Strong, hands-on expertise in Amazon Redshift (cluster management, WLM, performance tuning, VACUUM/ANALYZE, SVL/STV diagnostics)

Solid experience with at least one additional RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server)

Proven experience in AWS database services (RDS, Aurora, or similar)

Strong understanding of high-availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization in large-scale environments

Experience working in mission-critical, 24/7 or high-availability systems

Ability to work under pressure during critical incidents with senior stakeholders

Availability for on-call rotation and Saturday maintenance windows

Strong communication, problem-solving, and incident management skills
