Back End Developer

Location: Remote (Portuguese Candidates Only)

Start Date: October

We are working with a well‑known UK arts organisation who are looking for C# / .NET Developers to come in and support an important platform ahead of a major annual event in May 2027.

The platform manages over 50,000 entries each year, covering the full journey from submissions and review through to shortlisting, sales and payments. There is a clear backlog of development work ready to go, so they need a solid engineer who can hit the ground running, work through well‑defined tickets and make a real impact on the platform and fix it up for success.

This is a backend‑leaning role, although you will need Blazor experience as part of the wider application.

Key Experience Needed

- Strong commercial C# and .NET Core / .NET experience

- Entity Framework Core

- SQL Server

- Experience building and supporting APIs

- Comfortable working within an existing development team and codebase

- Strong communication skills when working remotely

- Experience with Azure, Docker and automated testing would be beneficial, but the core focus is C#, .NET, Blazor, EF Core and SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities

- Work through a defined backlog of development tickets

- Build and improve backend services using C# and .NET

- Develop and maintain API functionality

- Support the Blazor application where needed

- Work with SQL Server and Entity Framework Core

- Collaborate closely with UK‑based developers and the Technical Lead

- Help improve the platform ahead of the May 2027 submission window
