Mid-level: up to €35k | Senior: up to €50k
We’re looking for Full Stack Java & Angular Engineers to join a highly skilled international engineering team working on the next evolution of a suite of business-critical applications.
The existing platform is successfully running in production and is now entering a major new phase involving new development, application modernisation and refactoring, scalability improvements and multiple technical streams.
This is an opportunity to work on complex, data-intensive applications using a modern Java, Angular, AWS and microservices stack.
What you'll be doing
- Develop backend services using Java & Spring Boot
- Build frontend applications with Angular & TypeScript
- Design and integrate REST APIs
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Contribute to microservices, modernisation and refactoring
- Participate in user story refinement, estimates and technical solution design
- Work across coding, testing, build and deployment activities
- Improve application performance, scalability and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues
- Collaborate with engineers, architects and international stakeholders
- Support existing production applications alongside new development
- Participate in a shared 24/7 on-call rotation for critical P1/P2 production incidents once fully onboarded
Technical Requirements
- Strong experience with Java & Spring Boot
- Solid hands-on experience with Angular & TypeScript
- Experience with REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL and microservices
- Hands-on experience with AWS – S3, Aurora, EKS and Route 53Experience with Docker & Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Terraform, Gradle and Liquibase
- Experience with Git/Bitbucket, Jira & Confluence
- Understanding of modern CI/CD and software engineering practices
- Strong written and spoken English
Nice to have: Python, AWS Glue/Athena, Snowflake, Power BI, SAML/OIDC and secure coding practices (OWASP).
Experience: typically 3+ years for Mid-level and 5+ years for Senior-level.
What we're looking for
Beyond the technology stack, we’re looking for engineers who are curious, proactive and passionate about what they build.
For Senior profiles in particular, we value people who can step back, understand the bigger technical picture, challenge solutions and take ownership of complex topics — rather than simply waiting for predefined tasks.
You should be comfortable working independently while being an active part of an international engineering team.
Working Model
- Portugal-based candidates only
- Remote from Portugal
- Shared 24/7 on-call rotation for critical production incidents
- Occasional travel within Europe
- Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Portugal. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Recruitment Process
Our process is straightforward:
- Initial Screening – Applications are reviewed and selected candidates can expect initial contact within 2–3 business days after applying
- Technical Validation – 1 to 3 internal technical stages, depending on seniority and profile
- Offer
Applications are open until 16 September 2026.
We aim to keep the process practical, transparent and efficient, with clear communication throughout each stage.
