Full Stack Engineer

My client are looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team working on a large-scale platform used by a wide range of customers.

This is an opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working on technically challenging systems, taking ownership and having a genuine impact on how products are built and improved.

The team works in an Agile environment and follows modern engineering practices, with a strong focus on collaboration, quality and continuous improvement.

The Role

You’ll be involved across the full development lifecycle, working closely with other engineers and stakeholders to build, improve and scale the platform.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

Design, develop and maintain scalable Full Stack applications.

Build and enhance features using Ruby on Rails and React.

Work on a large-scale platform with interesting technical challenges.

Take ownership of features from initial requirements through to delivery.

Work closely with engineers, product teams and other stakeholders.

Contribute to technical discussions and help influence engineering decisions.

Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability and maintainability.

Work within an Agile development environment.

Contribute to a strong engineering culture focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Requirements

5+ years’ commercial software engineering experience.

Experience with Ruby on rails or strong background in Node or Java.

Strong understanding of modern software development principles.

Experience working with AWS.

Experience with Docker and containerised applications.

Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices.Experience working within an Agile engineering environment.

Experience working on large-scale or high-traffic platforms.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

A proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership and drive work forward.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
