About the Role:

We are looking for a

Mid‑Level Back‑End Developer

based in Portugal to join our team. You will work on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services using

Java ,

Spring Boot , and

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . The ideal candidate has solid experience in

microservices architecture ,

API design , and

cloud‑based environments , with a strong focus on performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain

backend services

and

REST APIs

using

Java

and

Spring Boot .

Work with

GCP

services to deploy and manage scalable applications.

Implement and support

microservices architectures .

Use

Kubernetes

for container orchestration and deployment.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (frontend, QA, DevOps) to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

Participate in

Agile development processes , including sprint planning and code reviews.

Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.

Troubleshoot and optimize system performance.

Requirements:

3+ years

of backend development experience with

Java

and

Spring Boot .

Proven experience with

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .

Solid understanding of

microservices architecture .

Experience with

Kubernetes

and

RESTful APIs .

Familiarity with

reactive programming

(Mono / WebFlux).

Fluent in

English

(spoken and written).

Must be

living in Portugal

and available for

hybrid work (1x per week)

in Lisbon, Braga, or Coimbra.

Nice to Have:

Experience with

CI/CD pipelines

and

Docker .

Knowledge of

SQL

or

NoSQL databases .
