Senior Software Engineer – FinTech / RegTechWe’re working with a fast-growing FinTech / Regulatory Technology company looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its engineering team.The company develops technology used by global financial institutions and businesses to detect financial crime, manage risk and screen transactions. Its platform combines large-scale risk data, screening technology and AI-driven automation to help customers investigate suspicious activity and make faster, better-informed risk decisions.This is a hands-on engineering role with ownership across the full development lifecycle. You’ll build new functionality, modernise existing systems and contribute to the architecture of a highly scalable SaaS platform.What You'll Be DoingDesign and build scalable solutions across backend, frontend and data architectureDevelop and maintain production services using Go, Python and Node.JsWork across the frontend using React and TypeScriptBuild against technologies including PostgreSQL, Neo4j and ElasticsearchDevelop and operate containerised workloads within AWSContribute to architectural decisions and technical RFCsParticipate in code reviews and mentor other engineersDiagnose and resolve performance issues across distributed production systemsAnalyse SQL queries, database performance, application bottlenecks and network latencyTake ownership of the software you ship, including participation in an engineering on-call rotationWhat We're Looking For5+ years' experience in software engineeringDegree in Computer Science or a closely related fieldStrong commercial experience with Go / GolangStrong knowledge of relational databases and SQLExperience with a scripting language such as PythonStrong system design capabilitiesHands-on AWS experience, particularly with containerised workloads and managed servicesStrong debugging and problem-solving skills within distributed backend systemsComfortable taking end-to-end ownership of production softwareNice to HaveExperience within financial services, payments, FinTech or RegTechBackground working within an Enterprise SaaS environmentExperience working across full-stack applicationsStrong appreciation for UI and UXWhy Join?You’ll join an engineering team working on complex, real-world problems within financial crime and risk technology.The environment offers high levels of autonomy and technical ownership, with the opportunity to influence architecture, build at scale and contribute to a growing product-led technology company.Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, generous time off and a culture focused on continuous learning and development.
