Technical Author

Are you passionate about technology and skilled in simplifying complex concepts? From our office in Porto, you will work on challenging assignments for high‑tech companies in the Netherlands. In this role, you bridge the gap between technical concepts and documents that ensure the manufacturability and serviceability of products. Responsibilities

As a Technical Author at WEB, you will play a vital role in creating, reviewing, and publishing technical procedures. These procedures are critical for the assembly, installation, maintenance, repair, and upgrading of our clients’ products, both for manufacturability and serviceability. In this role you will collaborate closely with industrial engineers to draft and refine technical procedures. Using the right tools, you ensure that documented procedures follow industry standards.

- Translating complex technical content into Simplified Technical English to ensure clarity and usability across all customer sites.

- Ensuring quality assurance so that documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and follows necessary standards, facilitating ease of use for all stakeholders.

- Reviewing and improving existing documents and procedures.

Qualifications

You are a technical author located in Porto seeking your next challenge. You enjoy working in an international team on complex high‑tech assignments. You are proactive, demonstrate solid communication skills, and are an adaptable team player with a keen eye for detail. You have a background in:

- Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Communication

- Applied Languages

- European languages and literatures

- Translation and engineering background (not mandatory but can be a plus).
