Senior Java Developer

Description

Design and validate end-to-end solutions for complex web and digital platforms

Act as a local technical coordination layer between Portugal and international teams

Define and govern integration patterns (APIs, asynchronous flows, frontend–backend interaction)

Design applications and technical solutions;

Create new programs and develop existing programs;

Ensure and organize a smooth and easy deploy.

Requirements

University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a comparable technical field

5+ years of relevant work experience in solution design for web and digital platforms

Solid understanding of system architecture, APIs and integration patterns

Expertise in Java technologies

Experience with front-end frameworks (plus)

Strong knowledge of SQL (SQL Server/Oracle) and NoSQL databases

Practical experience with cloud services

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Professional English (C1 level required in spoken and written)

Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Strong collaboration skills within distributed and cross-functional teams

Proactive mindset with a high sense of ownership and accountability

Structured approach to incident and problem management

Ability to prioritize workload efficiently in a dynamic environment

Must hold a valid work permit or EU/Schengen Space nationality to legally work in Portugal

Nice to have

Experience working in regulated environments

French or Dutch language skills
