Machine Learning Engineer

Location: Braga, Portugal. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Braga, Portugal. As a Machine Learning Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing machine learning algorithms and models to solve complex data problems.

Responsibilities

Design and develop machine learning algorithms and models to solve business problems.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for applying machine learning techniques.

Analyze large datasets and perform data preprocessing tasks.

Evaluate the performance of machine learning models and make necessary improvements.

Develop code in languages such as Python, R or Java to implement machine learning solutions.

Stay updated on the latest developments in the field of machine learning and apply them to improve existing processes.

Communicate insights and results to non‑technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer.

Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R or Java.

Experience with data preprocessing techniques such as data cleaning, feature selection and normalization.

In‑depth understanding of machine learning algorithms such as regression, classification, clustering, etc.

Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch is a plus.

Experience working with large datasets using SQL or other database querying languages.

Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to think creatively.

Excellent communication skills.

We offer a competitive salary of $1,800 per month for this contract position.
