Backend Engineer

Vizrt One Media AB is seeking a full-time Software Engineer to join the Media Asset Management (MAM) business unit in the Stockholm office, working with the platform team to develop the broadcasting market's most competitive client-facing applications. These applications aim to improve the daily work of TV anchors, journalists, editors, producers, operators, video editors, and graphics artists worldwide.

About the role

Deliver container-based deployment workflows for Viz One, our media asset management system.

Collaborate with stakeholders on Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to explore new ideas and technologies.

Develop new features and enhance existing products and components.

Modernize and future-proof our product codebases.

Support professional services to deliver projects within scope and deadlines.

Develop and maintain test automation to validate software functionality.

Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize software performance.

Maintain and improve the quality of existing code.

Requirements

Experience with at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Python, Perl) and/or one lower-level language (e.g., C++, Go).

Experience with cloud services (AWS preferred), containers, and Kubernetes.

Understanding of AI products/features, especially in semantic search or video analysis.

Knowledge of audio/video encoding is a plus.

Experience with relational databases is a plus.

Experience implementing RESTful API services is a plus.

Experience working in an agile/scrum environment.
