Role Overview

We are looking for an AWS Platform Engineer to join one of our Nearshore Teams, working remotely for international clients accross The Netherlands, Germany and other European countries. In this role, you will support software development teams by delivering secure, scalable, and highly automated AWS environments, while promoting DevOps best practices, infrastructure modernisation, and operational excellence throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

What you will do

- Manage and maintain development, testing, acceptance, and production environments across AWS platforms;

- Design, implement, and optimise cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation practices;

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and efficient software delivery;

- Monitor platform performance, availability, security, and operational health, ensuring proactive issue resolution;

- Support development teams by improving tooling, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and guiding cloud adoption initiatives;

- Implement security-by-design principles, access management, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation processes;

- Drive continuous improvement through automation, platform optimisation, and the adoption of modern cloud-native technologies.

What you are like

- Proficient in AWS cloud services, including EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, IAM, RDS, S3, API Gateway, EventBridge, and CloudFormation;

- Experienced in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation;

- Skilled in CI/CD technologies and pipeline automation using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git, and YAML;

- Knowledgeable in containerisation and orchestration technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS Fargate;

- Proficient in cloud-native architectures, microservices, REST APIs, serverless solutions, and event-driven integration patterns;

- Experienced in developing AWS Lambda functions using Python and/or TypeScript;

- Comfortable working with Linux and Windows Server environments, networking concepts, and cloud security best practices;

- Knowledgeable in SQL and NoSQL databases, including SQL Server and PostgreSQL;

- Strong understanding of security-by-design principles, secrets management, identity and access management, and compliance requirements;

- Have good communication skills in English - as you will collaborate daily with international teams.
