Salesforce Release Engineer : Copado

You will own and optimize Salesforce release processes as Lead Copado Release Engineer, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable CI/CD solutions. You will have a direct impact on improving release quality and velocity across regions through robust DevOps practices and automation.

Your Role and Responsibilities

- Lead Copado implementation and customization, designing, building, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce using Copado and integrated tools (Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket/GitLab, etc.).

- Configure deployments, version control practices, automated tests, quality gates, and rollback strategies within Copado.

- Automate quality and security checks to ensure compliance with enterprise governance and security standards.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to release engineers, developers, and administrators on Salesforce DevOps best practices.

- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and product owners to ensure releases deliver business value and align with product thinking.

- Identify inefficiencies in release processes and introduce improvements, including automation, tooling, and standards.

- Monitor deployment metrics, track release health, and report on deployment success, failure rates, and cycle time improvements.

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and runbooks for Copado configurations, processes, and escalation procedures.

- Develop training materials and deliver hands-on training sessions on Copado usage and release practices.

Your Skills and Experiences

- Solid, production-proven experience (10+ years) in Salesforce release management or related roles, with demonstrable hands-on Copado experience.

- Strong knowledge of version control (Git), CI/CD tools and practices, and integration with tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab, JIRA, or Azure DevOps.

- Hands-on Salesforce development, administration, or architecture experience, including metadata, Apex, Lightning, and managed/unmanaged packages.

- Programming and scripting skills (e.g., Apex, JavaScript, Python) to support automation and integrations.

- Experience implementing automated testing frameworks and quality/security gates in the release pipeline.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to manage complex release environments and resolve deployment issues.

- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience in global, matrixed organizations and B2B environments is a strong advantage.

- Copado certifications (Administrator, Developer, Architect) and Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect) are a plus.

- Fluent in English, both spoken and written, with an autonomous and problem-solving mindset.
