Back End Developer

Profession Back‑End Developer – City Braga, Portugal. As a Back‑End Developer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server‑side components of our web applications. Your main focus will be to ensure high performance, responsiveness, and scalability of our systems. You will also collaborate with the front‑end development team to integrate user‑facing elements with server‑side logic. This is a contract position in Braga, Portugal offering a salary of $1,600 per month without accommodation. Candidates must have a biometric passport and this role is open to students as well.

Responsibilities

Design and implement efficient and reliable server‑side code

Develop and maintain RESTful APIs

Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

Collaborate with front‑end developers to integrate user‑facing elements with server‑side logic

Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments

Ensure technical feasibility of UIUX designs

Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback

Requirements

Proven work experience as a Back‑End Developer or similar role

Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js

Experience with web frameworks like Spring Boot or Django

Familiarity with databases SQL or NoSQL

Understanding of front‑end technologies HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Knowledge of Agile development methodologies

Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
