Balance develops buyer-facing applications that improve checkout and payment experiences for businesses.

Задачи:

Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to translate business requirements into intuitive, high-quality web applications

Build and enhance user-facing features with a frontend-first mindset while contributing across the full stack when needed

Design, develop, and own features end‑to‑end, from technical discussions and implementation through deployment and production

Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and design reviews to ensure high engineering standards and maintainable code

Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the application stack, delivering reliable and scalable solutions

Write automated tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines to maintain code quality and enable rapid, reliable releases

Continuously improve development processes, tools, and engineering best practices to increase team productivity

Stay up to date with modern frontend technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, applying new ideas where they add value

Participate in team responsibilities, including production on‑call rotations

Требования:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

5+ Years of professional software development experience, preferably in a fintech environment

Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS, with a passion for building high‑quality, user‑centric web applications

Solid experience with Node.js and RESTful APIs

Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and the ability to translate design concepts into intuitive, responsive user interfaces

Experience with frontend testing frameworks and tools

Experience working in Agile environments with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and public cloud platforms

Strong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishCollaborative, proactive team player who can also work independently and take ownership of features

Willingness to work onsite 3 days per week in Lisbon, Portugal, following an initial fully remote onboarding period

Nice to have: NestJS, Jest, Playwright, AWS
