Database Administrator

As a Database Administrator you will be responsible for the performance integrity and security of our companys databases You will work closely with the IT team to ensure that our databases are running smoothly and efficiently Your main duties will include designing implementing and maintaining database systems as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise You must have a strong understanding of database management systems and be able to work independently

Responsibilities

Design implement and maintain database systems

Troubleshoot any database related issues

Ensure database security and data integrity

Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments

Collaborate with IT team to develop data models and database architecture

Develop backup and disaster recovery plans

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups patching and upgrades

Keep up-to-date with new technologies and industry best practices

Requirements

Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role

Strong knowledge of database management systems MySQL Oracle SQL Server

Experience with data backup recovery and security protocols

Familiarity with programming languages SQL Java

Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently

Excellent analytical skills

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or relevant field

Salary $1700month negotiable based on experience

Location Almada Portugal

Employment Type Contract with possibility of extension
