Network Support Engineer
Porto, Porto, Portugal
We are looking for a Network Support Engineer to join a project at a company specializing in the management of financial markets.
Responsibilities:
Investigate and troubleshoot network problems, conducting in-depth research for specific solutions;
Swiftly respond to alerts generated by monitoring tools;
Execute and oversee network changes while adhering to the designated change management process;
Prioritize tasks based on Service Level Agreements (SLAs);
Proactively recognize, take ownership of, and escalate any issue or problem that may potentially impact services;
Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for service improvements within processes and procedures.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a Network and Security support role;
Hands-on experience with system and network infrastructures, including LAN and WAN technologies;
Good understanding of Network Protocols TCP/IP, DNS/NTP, and Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP);
Troubleshooting experience with Juniper and Cisco equipment (Plus);
Familiarity with the use of monitoring tools (Grafana, Nagios, and/or LibreNMS);
Effective communication, proactive, and attention to detail skills;
Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively in a team;
Availability to work in shifts (24/7);
Fluency in the English and Portuguese language is required.
