Senior C++ Software Performance Engineer

Location: Porto, Lisbon, or Fundão, Portugal (Candidate should be based in Portugal)

Work Model: Hybrid | 2 days/week onsite

️ Language: English B2+

We’re looking for a Senior C++ Software Performance Engineer to join the SAP HANA Performance Team, working on performance optimization for SAP HANA Cloud.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze and troubleshoot complex SAP HANA performance issues

• Identify optimization opportunities for Intel x86 architecture

• Compare performance across hardware platforms

• Develop C++ PoCs and performance improvements

• Build and enhance performance analysis tools

• Collaborate with Intel engineering teams

✅ Key Requirements

• Strong C++ programming skills

• Deep understanding of Intel x86 architecture

• Experience with profiling tools such as Perf & Intel VTune

• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms & software design

• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills

• English B2+

⭐ Nice to Have

• RDBMS knowledge

• ARM/AArch64 experience

• Python programming skills
