Responsibilities

- Lead the full lifecycle of application development within an agile Software Development Team.

- Guide and mentor a team on large pieces of work spanning multiple components and teams.

- Act as the go‑to expert for technical decisions, problem‑solving and new ideas.

- Design, develop and improve technical solutions and processes.

- Write well‑designed, testable, efficient code to meet business needs.

- Test solutions and produce comprehensive documentation.

- Utilise cutting‑edge technologies to deliver value while scaling the platform for worldwide markets.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience with Java (Java8+) or a similar object‑oriented language.

- Strong background in high concurrency, high transactional, highly available platforms.

- Experience with client‑server protocols such as SOAP and REST.

- Expertise in established design patterns and reusability techniques (e.g., library extraction, component creation).

- Working knowledge of Scala, Kafka, Akka, Memcached, ApacheStorm, ApacheCassandra, Zookeeper, RabbitMQ and related technologies.

- Fluency in Portuguese and English; excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

- Ability to drive technical discussions and guide junior team members toward growth.

- Excellent communication in Portuguese and English.

- Common sense, strong interpersonal skills and a passion for problem solving.

- Mentorship mindset to support junior developers and foster team growth.
