For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:

7+ years of experience as a Java Back-End Developer, building and maintaining enterprise applications with Spring Boot, Spring Security, and REST APIs

Strong experience designing microservices and event-driven architectures, including messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ

Solid background working with relational and/or NoSQL databases and data modeling

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, container technologies, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, and contract testing)

Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to support code quality, testing, documentation, and productivity

Experience with Git and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

Tertiary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Fluency in English (B2); German language skills are a plus

Availability for hybrid work (1x/week onsite in Lisbon) based in Portugal (candidates should be based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit).
