Junior Information Technology Manager

As a Junior Information Technology Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of our companys IT systems in Faro Your duties will include managing and training a team of IT professionals ensuring the security and stability of our systems and implementing new technologies to improve efficiency and productivity You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining IT policies and procedures as well as troubleshooting any technical issues that arise This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or entry‑level candidate to gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced IT environment

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of our companys IT systems including hardware software networks and servers

Manage a team of IT professionals providing guidance and training as needed

Ensure the security and stability of all systems by implementing appropriate measures such as firewalls backups and disaster recovery plans

Research new technologies and make recommendations for their implementation to improve efficiency and productivity

Create and maintain IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards

Troubleshoot technical issues that arise in a timely manner

Communicate effectively with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide solutions accordingly

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience

Proven experience in managing IT operations in a fast‑paced environment

Strong knowledge of networking concepts hardwaresoftware installation maintenance troubleshooting etc

Experience with Windows operating systems Linux experience is a plus

Familiarity with cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Azure

Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Strong problem‑solving skills with an analytical mindset

Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities

Salary 1600$ per month

Location Faro Portugal local candidates preferred
