Database Administrator vacancy in Funchal Portugal

Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain company databases

Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise

Ensure data security and implement backup and recovery strategies

Collaborate with IT team to integrate new systems and technologies into existing databases

Create user accounts and permissions for database access

Develop data entry protocols to maintain data accuracy and consistency

Conduct regular audits to identify potential areas for improvement

Train employees on database usage and best practices

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in database technology

Requirements:

Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role

Strong knowledge of SQL language, database management systems (MySQL, Oracle), and data warehousing principles

Familiarity with cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure) is a plus

Excellent analytical skills with an eye for detail

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Good communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Salary: $1400 per month without accommodation.
