Java Developer

BGTS Internationalis looking for aJava Developerto join our team supporting a global client project inOvar, Portugal.

You'll work on bothbackend services and desktop applications, building and maintaining solutions usingJava, Spring Boot, JavaFX, and Java Swing, while contributing to system integrations and application security.

Who you are

You're ahands-on Java Developerwith 3-5 years of professional experience who enjoys solving technical challenges and working across different application layers.

You have strongCore Javafundamentals and are comfortable working with both modern backend technologies and existing desktop applications. You're analytical, collaborative, and able to work effectively in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

- Backend Development:Design and develop backend services usingJava and Spring Boot, including business logic and REST/SOAP services.

- Desktop Applications:Develop and maintain applications usingJavaFX and Java Swing.

- System Integration:Integrate applications with internal and external systems through APIs, messaging, and middleware.

- Code Quality:Write clean, maintainable code, perform unit testing, and participate in code reviews.

- Security:Implement authentication, authorization, and secure communication across applications and services.

- DevOps:Support application builds and deployments throughCI/CDtools.

- Collaboration:Work with business teams, analysts, and developers in anAgile environment.

Requirements

- 3-5 yearsof professional Java development experience.

- StrongCore Javaand object-oriented programming skills.

- Good experience withSpring Boot / Spring Frameworkand REST services.

- Hands-on experience withJavaFX and/or Java Swing.

- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

- Understanding of application security, APIs, and system integration.

- Good communication and collaboration skills.

- Bachelor's degree inIT, Software Development, or a related field.

- Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 10%).
