The Role:

Senior Java Developer + Spark

Work Model:

hybrid - 2/3 days a week in the office

Eligibility:

Currently living in Portugal and be legally authorized to work there

- +8 years of experience in Java/J2EE development, including Java/J2EE 9.

- At least 1 year of experience in Apache Spark development, with hands-on experience in Spark.

- Experience with Spring / Spring MVC and Spring Boot.

- Experience with SQL, including Transactional SQL / Spark SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle ExaCC, and SQL Server.

- Strong experience with Docker & Kubernetes and Cloud-native applications.

- Experience with CI/CD tooling, including Maven, GitLab, ArgoCD, and Liquibase.

Nice to have:

- Experience with Argo Workflow.

- Experience with GitHub Copilot Agents.

- French B2

Responsibilities:

- Work as a Java Developer, contributing to the conception and development of Data Processing applications executed in Batch mode using Spark.

- Develop solutions using Java/J2EE and Apache Spark.

- Design solutions using proven patterns, with awareness of anti-patterns and performance tuning.

- Work with SQL, relational databases, Docker/Kubernetes, object storage such as S3, and CI/CD tooling
