Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Information Technology Engineer role based in Porto. The IT Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and supporting IT infrastructure, including Oracle Database, servers, networks, and end-user systems, with a focus on environments built on Oracle technologies. Daily tasks include diagnosing and resolving technical Oracle issues, performing system and network monitoring, managing Oracle updates and patches, and ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards. The role involves providing Oracle technical support to internal teams and clients, documenting incidents and solutions, and collaborating with consultants and developers on integration and implementation projects. The IT Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement of processes, performance, and reliability of Oracle IT systems.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Information Technology, including operating systems, servers, virtualization, enterprise IT environments, and Oracle Database (DBA) as primary requirement.

- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support, with the ability to diagnose, prioritize, and resolve complex issues.

- Experience with Networking and Network Security, including configuration, monitoring, and securing network devices and services.

- Familiarity with Oracle-related infrastructure or similar enterprise platforms is an advantage.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Ability to work on-site in Porto, collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle, Linux, networking, or security) are a plus.

- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to reliable, secure IT operations.
