As a Junior Database Administrator you will be responsible for managing and maintaining databases in our organization Your main task will be to ensure the security availability and performance of our databases while also assisting with data integration and migration processes You will work closely with our team of IT professionals to ensure that our databases are functioning at their best
Responsibilities
- Install and configure database software on servers
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery measures
- Ensure data security by implementing access controls and encryption methods
- Assist with data integration and migration processes
- Collaborate with IT team to optimize database design and functionality
- Document database procedures and maintain accurate records of changes
- Stay up-to-date with latest database technologies and trends
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong understanding of database management systems DBMS
- Knowledge of SQL MySQL Oracle or other database languages
- Experience with database installation configuration maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with data backup recovery security measures and disaster recovery plans
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
