Junior Database Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Database Administrator to join our growing team in Funchal.

If you are passionate about data management and eager to learn more about database administration this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain database systems to ensure they meet company requirements

Troubleshoot database issues and perform necessary updates and upgrades

Implement security measures to protect databases from unauthorized access

Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies

Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure database integration with other systems

Provide technical support to end-users as needed

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

Knowledge of SQL and other database languages

Familiarity with database management tools eg Oracle MySQL

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
