Application Support Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Application Production Support Engineer to join a team supporting critical payment processing applications within the Securities Services domain. This role combines production support, incident management, automation, and close collaboration with business stakeholders to ensure the stability and performance of business-critical platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide application production support for payment processing platforms, managing incidents, service requests, troubleshooting activities, and ensuring operational excellence.

- Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand workflows, communicate issue status, support project deliveries, and continuously improve platform coverage.

- Automate operational processes by developing scripts and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance system reliability.

- Monitor, analyze, and resolve production issues, performing root cause analysis, documenting solutions, and contributing to knowledge sharing across the team.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in Application Production Support or Application Support Engineering.

- Mandatory experience with Oracle SQL.

- Good knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.

- Scripting and automation experience (Shell, Python, PowerShell, or similar).

- Understanding of networking fundamentals.

- Exposure to Ansible / DevOps practices.

- Knowledge of ITIL principles is a plus.

- Unix/Linux administration knowledge is an advantage.

- Professional English level.
