Database Administrator

We are currently hiring a Database Administrator to join our team in Faro As a Database Administrator you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our companys databases to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently

This is an entry-level position that does not require prior experience making it suitable for candidates who are just starting their career

Responsibilities

Install and configure database software and servers

Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise

Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies

Create and maintain database documentation including data standards procedures and definitions

Collaborate with other departments to ensure data integrity security and availability

Perform regular maintenance tasks such as updates patches backups etc

Test and implement new database features to improve performance or meet business needs

Requirements

Biometric passport or ability to obtain one is required due to the nature of our companys work

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field

Strong understanding of database concepts structures languages SQL and best practices

Familiarity with database management systems such as Oracle MySQL SQL Server

Knowledge of programming languages JavaC++ is a plus

Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Salary The salary for this position is 1100$ per month

Location This job is located in Faro but can also be done remotely if necessary
