Contract Information Technology Manager

Location Braga Portugal We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Manager to join our team in Braga on a contract basis In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of our companys IT department The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT management and possess excellent leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the IT department including managing a team of IT professionals

Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure the security and efficiency of our companys systems

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to make recommendations for improvements within the company

Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for hardware software and other technology services

Collaborate with other departments to identify their technology needs and provide solutions to improve their processes

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in IT management

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field

Strong knowledge of networking security databases operating systems and cloud computing

Experience with project management tools

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in Information Technology or related field

Previous experience working in a contract position

Knowledge of Portuguese language
